Terms and Conditions of Paws & Co Pet Health Ltd and Paws & Co Membership


1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 These terms apply to registration with Paws & Co Pet Health Ltd and membership in the Paws & Co Membership. By registering or joining, you agree to these terms.

2.1 We are Paws & Co Pet Health Ltd, trading as Paws & Co Veterinary Centre.

3. Our Contract With You

3.1 Our services are available to registered small domestic animals. Family and Companion plans are for dogs and cats only.
3.2 Registration creates a contract upon our acceptance.
3.3 You must disclose any pre-existing health conditions and consent to access your pet’s medical records.
3.4 We may require a health check before accepting your application.
3.5 You must ensure your pet attends regular check-ups and follows veterinary advice.


4. Paws & Co Membership

4.1 Plans offer various benefits depending on the selected plan.
4.2 Membership is non-transferable and limited to the pet specified. Working or commercial animals are excluded from Family Plans.
4.3 Plan benefits and exclusions are detailed in your plan and may be updated annually or with 30 days' notice.
4.4 You may end the contract if you disagree with changes by giving 14 days' notice.


5. Term of Subscription

5.1 Subscriptions last 12 months and automatically renew yearly unless cancelled with appropriate notice.


6. Ending Your Subscription

6.1 You may cancel within 14 days if joining online unless you have used the service.
6.2 You may cancel if your pet dies.
6.3 Subscriptions cannot otherwise be cancelled mid-term, except for plan upgrades.
6.4 To prevent automatic renewal, notify us 30 days before renewal.


7. Ending Your Subscription - Consequences

7.1 On termination, you lose plan benefits and revert to our standard pricing. Outstanding balances on used benefits must be paid.


8. Our Right to End Your Subscription

8.1 We may cancel for reasons including inaccurate registration information, non-payment, breach of terms, exceeding fair usage, or no-shows.
8.2 We may also terminate for other reasons with 30 days' notice.


9. Complaints

9.1 Contact us using the details provided if you have any complaints.


10. Price and Payment

10.1 Subscriptions must be paid monthly or annually in advance. Monthly payments are via debit card only.
10.2 Failed payments will be retried. Persistent failures may result in termination and administrative fees of £20 per failed payment.
10.3 Prices may be adjusted annually or if costs substantially change. 30 days' notice will be given.
10.4 Non-plan services must be paid for at the time of treatment.


11. Liability

11.1 We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our negligence or breach of contract.
11.2 We do not exclude liability for death, injury, fraud, or other non-excludable legal obligations.
11.3 Our liability for other loss is limited to fees paid. We are not responsible for consequential or indirect loss, unless foreseeable.


12. Personal Information

12.1 We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


13. Governing Law

13.1 English law applies.
13.2 No third party may enforce these terms.
13.3 If part of this contract is illegal, the rest remains in force.


14. Changes to Terms

14.1 We may amend these terms with notice. Continued use of services signifies agreement.


15. Fair Usage Policy

15.1 Misuse of services (e.g. booking unnecessary appointments or using services for non-covered animals) may result in membership termination.


16. Plan Descriptions

16.1 Plans include Friend (free, no benefits), Companion (routine healthcare + discounts), and Family (comprehensive care).
16.2 Plan specifics are published online and may be updated annually.


17. Exclusions

17.1 The following are not included in plans: elective vaccinations, specialist referrals, out-of-hours services, primary vaccination courses, microchipping, working dog injuries, breeding, cosmetic surgery, prescription diets, dental (unless covered under a specific plan), quarantine, and pet passport replacement.


18. Additional Requirements for Family Plan Membership

18.1 Mandatory Health Check
Family Plan pets must attend a health check within 28 days of joining. Failure to do so may result in suspension or cancellation of the plan.

18.2 Pre-Existing Conditions
All pre-existing conditions must be disclosed before any appointments or treatments. Undisclosed conditions will not be covered and will be charged at standard rates.

18.3 Vaccination Requirements (Dogs)
Dogs must be fully vaccinated prior to joining the Family Plan. Proof is required. Failure to comply may result in refusal or suspension of membership.

18.4 General
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in termination of membership and full charges for related treatments.


19. Consent to Treatment

19.1 Owners must sign consent forms before treatments. Emergency care may be provided without prior consent if necessary for the pet’s welfare.


20. Out of Hours Care

20.1 Out of hours care details are available on our website. Fees are payable directly to the provider.
