Pet Dental Care at Paws & Co — West Yorkshire

Good dental health is one of the most overlooked aspects of pet care — but dental disease is one of the most common conditions vets see in dogs and cats. Left untreated, it can cause pain, infection and serious health complications.

At Paws & Co Veterinary Centre in Tingley, West Yorkshire, we have a dedicated in-house dental suite with digital dental X-ray equipment, allowing us to identify and treat dental disease that wouldn't be visible to the naked eye. All procedures are carried out under general anaesthetic with full pain relief included.

FAQ

Is my pet put under general anaesthetic for dental procedures? Yes — all dental procedures at Paws & Co are carried out under general anaesthetic to ensure your pet is comfortable and still throughout. We strongly recommend pre-anaesthetic blood work and fluid therapy (+£60) to minimise risk.

How long will my pet need to stay at the practice? Dental procedures are carried out as day cases. Your pet will be admitted in the morning and collected the same day once they have recovered from the anaesthetic.

How often should my pet have a dental check? We recommend a dental examination at least once a year as part of your pet's annual health check. Members of our health plans receive free dental examinations included in their plan.

My pet has a heart condition — can they still have a dental? Pets with heart conditions can still undergo dental procedures but require additional assessment beforehand. A cardiac ultrasound may be recommended. Please contact us to discuss your pet's individual requirements.

Do health plan members get a discount on dentals? Yes — members of our Companion and Companion Plus health plans receive discounted dental procedures. View health plans →
