Nutramarin Advanced Liver Support for Dogs & Cats — SAMe, Milk Thistle & Turmeric
Couldn't load pickup availability
Nutramarin Advanced is a triple-action liver support supplement from Nutravet, combining SAMe, milk thistle and turmeric in a single daily dose. It's the product our vets reach for when liver enzymes are raised on a blood test, when a pet is on long-term medication that works the liver hard, or when the liver simply needs support to do its job.
Available as capsules for cats and smaller dogs, a higher-strength 200mg capsule for dogs over 25kg, or as tasty weight-banded chews for dogs who won't take a capsule.
Why we recommend it
- SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine) 100mg, which raises the liver's own antioxidant levels and supports detoxification
- Silybin 10mg, the active part of milk thistle, to protect liver cells
- Turmeric extract 50mg, standardised to 95% curcumin, for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support
- Double enteric-coated capsules so the ingredients survive the stomach and reach the gut intact
- Chews are flavoured and sized by weight, so dosing is one chew a day
Who it's for
- Dogs and cats with raised liver enzymes (ALT, ALP) on blood tests
- Pets on long-term medication such as anti-epileptics, steroids or NSAIDs
- Recovery after toxin ingestion or liver illness
- Older pets as part of routine senior support
How to give it
Capsules, daily by weight: up to 5kg 1, 5 to 10kg 2, 10 to 18kg 3, 18 to 25kg 4. Give whole or open and sprinkle on food, ideally on an empty stomach for best absorption.
Dogs over 25kg: choose the 200mg capsule pack, which gives double the dose per capsule. Daily by weight: 25 to 35kg 2 capsules, 35 to 45kg 3, 45 to 55kg 4, then half a capsule extra per 10kg above that.
Chews: one chew daily from the pack matched to your dog's weight. Small for dogs under 10kg, medium for 10 to 25kg, large for 25 to 40kg.
Frequently asked questions
Capsules or chews?
Capsules for cats and for owners happy to open a capsule onto food. Chews for dogs that make tablets a battle. Same actives either way.
Can it be given with liver medication from the vet?
Usually yes, and our vets often recommend it alongside. Check with us if your pet is on other treatment.
How long should my pet take it?
Typically at least three months, with a repeat blood test to check progress. Many pets stay on it long term.

Nutramarin Advanced is a complementary feed supplied by Paws & Co Veterinary Centre, an independent vet practice in Yorkshire.
