Nutramind is a high-strength brain support supplement from Nutravet, built around DHA-rich fish oil with ginkgo biloba, B vitamins and phosphatidylserine. It supports cognitive function in older pets and learning in younger ones, which makes it one of the few supplements useful at both ends of life.
In older dogs and cats, changes in behaviour such as pacing at night, staring at walls, forgetting house training or seeming confused can be signs of cognitive decline. Nutramind is what our vets recommend alongside a check-up when those signs start to appear.
Why we recommend it
- 165mg DHA per capsule, the omega-3 that matters most for brain tissue
- Ginkgo biloba extract 20mg to support blood flow to the brain
- B vitamins (B1, B3, B6, B8, B12) for nerve function
- Phosphatidylserine, a key component of brain cell membranes
- Natural vitamin E as an antioxidant
- Capsules can be given whole or pierced onto food
- Suitable for dogs and cats
Who it's for
- Senior dogs and cats showing early signs of cognitive decline
- Older pets as preventive support from around 7 years
- Puppies and young dogs in training, to support learning
- Any pet whose vet has recommended brain support

Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I notice a change?
Allow four to six weeks. Changes in older pets tend to be gradual: better sleep at night, more engagement, fewer confused moments.
Can it be used with a senior diet?
Yes. It adds to the DHA in most senior foods rather than replacing it.
Is it worth it for a young dog?
The DHA supports learning in puppies and young dogs, so it's a reasonable addition during intensive training.
Supplied by a veterinary practice
Nutramind is a complementary feed supplied by Paws & Co Veterinary Centre, an independent vet practice in Yorkshire. It is not a medicine. Behaviour changes in older pets can have medical causes such as pain, thyroid or kidney disease, so please book a senior health check before putting it all down to age.
